About Your EIA Certified Audiologist
Dr. Christine Standard is the founder of Macomb Audiology and Hearing Aid Center. She has been a resident of Macomb, Illinois for almost 30 years. She earned both her bachelors and her masters degrees from Western Illinois University. Her Doctorate comes from Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant Michigan. She has served the hearing population of west central Illinois for 27 years the last 16 in private practice at Macomb Audiology.
Dr. Standard served in the United States Army prior to and while earning her first two degrees. She continues to serve the Veteran population today as a VACCN Audiologist. She has a passion for serving all those who need help with their hearing healthcare, but the Veterans hold a special place in her heart.
With years of experience behind her in treating the hearing impaired population she specializes in medical audiology, hearing aid fittings, aural rehabilitation and industrial audiology. When discussing hearing aids she focuses on education, realistic expectations, and the benefits of amplification as a treatment for ongoing congnition and commuticative abilities.
